چکیده

Barmer Basin is one of the most prolific hydrocarbon basins of India having more than 30 discoveries to date. The Raageshwari Deep Gas (RDG) Field, situated in the southern Barmer Basin, was discovered in 2003 by exploration well Raageshwari-1 and is a part of RJ-ON-90/1 contract area operated by Cairn India. This field is characterized by tight gas-condensate reservoirs with excellent gas quality of approximately 80% methane, low CO2 and no H2S. Subsequent to discovery, the field was further appraised by six more wells and is being developed by 27 wells from 4 well-pads. The main objective of the initial development plan was to meet internal gas demand; however, based on years of encouraging well performance and additional data acquired, a revised FDP focusing on commercial gas sales in addition to internal gas consumption was submitted to and approved by the Management Committee in 2014. The field is currently being developed using deviated wells with multi-stage hydraulic fracturing to allow substantial production at economic rates.

Prediction of pore facies using GMDH-type neural networks: a case study from the South Pars gas field, Persian Gulf basin

The current study proposes a two-step approach for pore facies characterization in the carbonate reservoirs with an example from the Kangan and Dalanformations in the South Pars gas field. In the first step, pore facies were determined based on Mercury Injection Capillary Pressure (MICP) data incorporation with the Hierarchical Clustering Analysis (HCA) method. In the next step, polynomial meta...

An Integrated Geophysical Approach for Porosity and Facies Determination: A Case Study of Tamag Field of Niger Delta Hydrocarbon Province

Petro physics, rock physics and multi-attribute analysis have been employed in an integrated approach to delineate porosity variation across Tamag Field of Niger Delta Basin. Gamma and resistivity logs were employed to identify sand bodies and correlated across the field. Petro physical analysis was undertaken. Rock physics modelling and multi-attribute analysis were carried out. Two hydrocarbo...

Integrated Characterization and a Tuning Strategy for the PVT Analysis of Representative Fluids in a Gas Condensate Reservoir

Gas condensate reservoirs are characterized by a distinctive retrograde behavior and potential for condensate drop out during production and sampling. Efficient modeling of gas condensate reservoir requires careful phase behavior studies of samples collected prior to and during the production life of reservoir. In this work, an integrated characterization and tuning algorithm is proposed to ana...

A Comparative Study of the Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic, and Nero-fuzzy Systems in Seismic Reservoir Characterization: An Example from Arab (Surmeh) Reservoir as an Iranian Gas Field, Persian Gulf Basin

Intelligent reservoir characterization using seismic attributes and hydraulic flow units has a vital role in the description of oil and gas traps. The predicted model allows an accurate understanding of the reservoir quality, especially at the un-cored well location. This study was conducted in two major steps. In the first step, the survey compared different intelligent techniques to discover ...

Cohen, A. S., 1989. Facies relationships and sedimentation in large rift lakes and implications for hydrocarbon exploration: examples from lakes Turkana and Tanganyika. Palaeogeogr., Palaeoclimatol., Palaeoecol., 70: 65-80. Two African lakes, Turkana and Tanganyika, illustrate a spectrum of sediments and facies architectures which can occur in large rift lacustrine basins. They demonstrate cont...
